The Opportunity:
A Maths Teacher and GCSE Statistics Coordinator is needed to lead and coordinate GCSE Statistics and Further Mathematics for gifted students. This role is central to promoting and delivering these qualifications, supporting student achievement and contributing to a school with a strong academic ethos.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons that challenge and inspire students.
- Coordinate and manage the GCSE Statistics and Further Mathematics curriculum for gifted and talented students.
- Identify and support students who are suitable for these advanced qualifications.
- Promote and recruit students for GCSE Statistics and Further Mathematics.
- Collaborate with other staff to enhance teaching and learning across the school.
- Support the school’s mission and contribute to its educational goals and ethos.
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare policies in all student interactions.
- Participate in professional development and administrative responsibilities.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in mathematics education.
- Strong subject knowledge in mathematics and statistics.
- Experience in coordinating GCSE qualifications or similar roles.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching GCSE Statistics or Further Mathematics.
- Leadership experience in a school or educational setting.
- Experience in supporting gifted and talented students.
- Familiarity with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
