The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Maths Teacher - Part Time / Full Time to join our Mathematics Department and help us continue to deliver high-quality education. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and to be part of a school committed to achieving excellence in all areas of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality mathematics lessons using the White Rose scheme of learning and Sparx maths.
  • Support students in achieving excellent GCSE results and encourage participation in enrichment activities such as UKMT challenges and Eureka Maths events.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement within the Mathematics Department.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.
  • Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing targeted support where needed.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities within the school and the Unity Schools Partnership.
  • Participate in the school’s mentoring programme and support students in progressing to A-Level STEM courses.
  • Maintain and update classroom resources, ensuring a fully equipped and modern learning environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in mathematics education.
  • Experience of teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE Mathematics.
  • Commitment to student achievement and a track record of delivering excellent results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.

Preferred

  • Experience with using technology in the classroom, including interactive screens and visualisers.
  • Involvement in enrichment activities or extracurricular mathematics events.
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or supporting students with diverse learning needs.
  • Leadership experience or the potential to take on a leadership role within the department.
