As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well-structured lunchtime experience for students. This is a vital position that supports student well-being and contributes to a positive school atmosphere during the midday period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage students during lunchtime to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
- Promote positive behavior and encourage social interaction among students.
- Support the implementation of school policies and procedures during break and lunchtimes.
- Monitor and report any incidents or concerns to the relevant staff members.
- Assist with the supervision of outdoor and indoor activities during lunchtime.
- Collaborate with teaching and support staff to maintain a consistent approach to student behavior and welfare.
- Ensure that all students are accounted for and follow the school’s routines and expectations.
- Provide a friendly and approachable presence to students, reinforcing the school’s values and ethos.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Previous experience in a supervisory or support role within an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience working with children in a school environment.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies.
- Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational organization.
