The Opportunity:

As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and well-structured lunchtime experience for students. This is a vital position that supports student well-being and contributes to a positive school atmosphere during the midday period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage students during lunchtime to ensure a safe and orderly environment.
  • Promote positive behavior and encourage social interaction among students.
  • Support the implementation of school policies and procedures during break and lunchtimes.
  • Monitor and report any incidents or concerns to the relevant staff members.
  • Assist with the supervision of outdoor and indoor activities during lunchtime.
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff to maintain a consistent approach to student behavior and welfare.
  • Ensure that all students are accounted for and follow the school’s routines and expectations.
  • Provide a friendly and approachable presence to students, reinforcing the school’s values and ethos.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or support role within an educational setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and de-escalate challenging situations with patience and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience working with children in a school environment.
  • Knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies.
  • Familiarity with school policies and procedures.
  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational organization.
