The Opportunity:
As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe and positive environment for students during midday breaks. You will work closely with the team to monitor and support pupil behavior both indoors and outdoors, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that promotes wellbeing and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support pupil behavior during midday breaks to ensure a safe and caring environment.
- Work both indoors and outdoors to supervise children and young people effectively.
- Promote positive relationships and wellbeing among students during break times.
- Collaborate with the school team to maintain a consistent and supportive approach to student supervision.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and wellbeing policies at all times.
- Support the school's vision and values through daily interactions and supervision.
- Assist in organizing and managing midday activities that encourage student engagement and learning.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to the leadership team on student behavior and wellbeing.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience working with children in a school or care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
- Flexibility to work during midday breaks and across the school site.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a supervisory or pastoral role within a school.
- Knowledge of child development and behaviour management strategies.
- Experience with safeguarding and wellbeing policies in an educational setting.
- Familiarity with working within a faith-based school environment.
