Key Responsibilities:
- Teach French to Key Stage 4 students, delivering engaging and high-quality lessons.
- Lead and support the development of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
- Shape and enhance the Key Stage 3 curriculum in line with current specifications and best practice.
- Inspire students and colleagues through innovative teaching methods and initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and external partners to promote the profile of MFL.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives such as Culture Club and planned international trips.
- Support the implementation of centrally planned assessments to ensure consistency and manageable workloads.
- Encourage and promote a culture of creativity and continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Modern Foreign Languages.
- Strong subject knowledge in French, particularly at Key Stage 4.
- Experience in curriculum development and delivery.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior leadership.
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or middle leadership role.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or other language teaching methodologies.
- Familiarity with international educational partnerships or cultural exchange programs.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
