Teacher of Science and Health Science needed for a part-time, permanent role starting in September 2026.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Teacher of Science and Health Science to join our department and contribute to our STEM-rich curriculum. The role involves teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, with a focus on delivering engaging lessons and supporting students in achieving their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Science and Health Science lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
  • Teach a range of qualifications including AQA Combined Science Trilogy, OCR Nationals, and Sociology GCE.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement an innovative and industry-relevant curriculum.
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, practical skills, and a passion for Science and Health.
  • Manage a teaching load split approximately 3:2 between Science and Health Science.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and industry partners to enhance learning experiences.
  • Participate in professional development and staff training opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and events.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Science and Health Science education.
  • Ability to teach across the ability range from KS3 to KS5.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Science and Health Science qualifications.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and student success.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching AQA Combined Science Trilogy, OCR Nationals, and Sociology GCE.
  • Background in delivering project-based learning and real-world industry experience.
  • Experience with vocational qualifications such as BTEC Medical Science.
  • Familiarity with UTC or college-style education environments.
  • Passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
