The Opportunity:

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will support teaching staff in delivering high-quality education and care to students. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching staff in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
  • Assist with the management of pupils and the classroom environment.
  • Provide individual and group support to students to enhance their learning experience.
  • Help implement work, care, and support programmes tailored to student needs.
  • Work both within and outside the classroom to ensure a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth running of the school.
  • Support the development of students’ academic and personal skills.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 2 qualification in teaching or a related field.
  • Experience working with young people in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and independently within a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in a UTC or similar educational setting.
  • Knowledge of engineering, health, or computer science specialisms.
  • Experience with project-based learning or industry partnerships.
  • Previous experience in a multi-academy trust or similar organisation.
