The Opportunity:

As a Music Mentor, you will play a vital role in shaping students' musical abilities and fostering a love for music. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging music lessons that promote student engagement and skill development.
• Support the development of students' musical knowledge and appreciation of diverse global music cultures.
• Align curriculum planning with the NCfE, integrating cross-curricular learning opportunities.
• Utilize digital technology to enhance music learning and provide personalized instruction.
• Organize and participate in music-related events, such as concerts and recitals.
• Track and document student progress through formative assessments and evaluations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning experiences.
• Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that values diversity and well-being.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Valid teaching credential with at least three years of experience in music education.
• Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Sensitivity to students' individual learning needs and abilities.
• Proficiency in IT for classroom instruction and administrative tasks.
• Experience with a variety of musical instruments, music software, and performance techniques.

Preferred

• Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
• Background in curriculum design and adaptation.
• Experience in co-curricular program development, such as choir, orchestra, or band.
• Experience in action research or innovative teaching methodologies.
