The Opportunity:

A French Teacher is sought to reimagine modern languages education and shape a progressive curriculum aligned with iGCSE outcomes and international standards. This role offers the chance to inspire confident global communicators and make a meaningful impact on student learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-design and deliver a rigorous, engaging French curriculum aligned with iGCSE outcomes and entrepreneurial principles.
  • Ensure progression in listening, speaking, reading, and writing with a focus on oracy and authentic communication.
  • Integrate cultural, social, and global contexts aligned with UAE values and international mindedness.
  • Differentiate learning to meet diverse needs and collaborate with the Inclusion team to support all learners.
  • Design meaningful assessments that track progress and drive intervention.
  • Embed inquiry-led approaches to encourage learners to use French for problem-solving, debate, and storytelling.
  • Lead and contribute to transdisciplinary projects linking French with business, sustainability, and global citizenship.
  • Support learners in applying French in real-world contexts such as enterprise projects and cultural exchanges.
  • Build strong relationships and support learners’ academic, linguistic, and personal development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience delivering iGCSE French or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of inquiry-based and project-based pedagogy.
  • Commitment to inclusive, personalised learning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in French, Languages, or a related field.
  • Valid teaching qualification and minimum two years’ experience.
  • High digital literacy and confidence using technology to enhance learning.
  • Strong organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with transdisciplinary and project-based learning.
  • Experience with international curricula such as the IB.
  • Experience in a multicultural and international environment.
