Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music education across the age range up to A level.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that foster creativity and musical skills.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential in music, both academically and artistically.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s music programme and extracurricular opportunities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Participate in the wider school community, including events, trips, and enrichment activities.
  • Stay up to date with developments in music education and pedagogy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant qualification in music or education.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Passion for music and a desire to inspire students.

Preferred

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or willingness to pursue it.
  • Experience teaching music at a range of levels, including A level.
  • Experience in coeducational settings.
  • Knowledge of a variety of musical styles and instruments.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment.
