The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality music education aligned with the British National Curriculum and Steiner-Waldorf principles.
  • Plan and implement engaging, creative lessons that encourage artistic expression and musical development.
  • Support students in developing performance skills and a deep appreciation for music.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school’s overall educational ethos and community engagement.
  • Promote the school’s values and mission within the wider community.
  • Participate in school events, parent meetings, and other activities that enhance the learning environment.
  • Integrate mindfulness practices into teaching where appropriate.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of additional subjects if applicable.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Fully qualified teacher with experience in the British National Curriculum (PGCE or QTS).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to teach confidently in English.
  • A team player who is enthusiastic about promoting the school within the wider community.
  • Commitment to holistic and Steiner-Waldorf inspired education.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching IGCSE/BTEC (Edexcel/Cambridge) Music.
  • Ability to teach an additional subject.
  • Knowledge or experience in Steiner-Waldorf pedagogy.
  • Interest in integrating mindfulness practices into education.
  • Ability to communicate in Spanish.
  • Being an active musician.
  • Possession of an EU work permit.
