The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Nursery Assistant to support our early years team in creating a safe and stimulating environment for children aged 0–3. This part-time, permanent role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young children's development and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities within the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
- Ensure the wellbeing and development of children, promoting curiosity and positive relationships
- Carry out observations and maintain accurate records of children's progress
- Work closely with parents, carers, and colleagues to support children's growth and learning
- Assist with school events, staff meetings, and training days as required
- Provide personal care and support to children in a nurturing and inclusive environment
- Promote safeguarding and inclusive practice in line with the school’s values
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team atmosphere
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2, CCLD, NNEB, CACHE, or equivalent
- Experience in an Early Years setting
- Strong communication skills with children and adults
- Understanding of safeguarding and the Key Person system
Preferred
- Experience working with children up to 11 years old
- Confidence in delivering creative and structured learning activities
- Commitment to professional development and continuous learning
