The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and caring environment for young children. You will support the well-being and development of children aged 0-3 years, while also assisting older children up to 11 years. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early years education and committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster a safe, stimulating, and caring learning environment for young children
  • Plan and implement a balanced range of learning activities tailored to the needs of children aged 0-3 years
  • Maintain high standards of health, hygiene, and safety in the nursery setting
  • Promote positive relationships with parents and keep them informed about their child’s progress
  • Collaborate with other education professionals to support children’s development
  • Uphold the nursery's policies and procedures to ensure a supportive atmosphere for children and staff
  • Support and assist children up to the age of 11 years when required
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection policies

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant Nursery Assistant qualification, such as NVQ Level 2 or higher
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting
  • Commitment to promoting equal opportunities for all children

Preferred

  • Experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Creativity and adaptability in delivering learning activities
  • Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting
