Summary:

Nursery Manager / Deputy Nursery Manager needed to lead a caring, inclusive early years environment.

The Opportunity:

As a Nursery Manager / Deputy Nursery Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping a warm, inclusive environment where children are nurtured and inspired to learn. This is an opportunity to lead a team and provide high-quality care and education in a setting that values creativity, care and development from an early age.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire staff, pupils, parents and the wider community through a positive and motivating example.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing and development of all children in the nursery, with a strong focus on safeguarding.
  • Provide high-quality education and care that supports the physical, emotional, social and intellectual growth of children.
  • Implement and maintain high standards of practice through supervision and support of the nursery team.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, including quality improvement, marketing and administration.
  • Work collaboratively with the Nursery Manager and team to create an environment that supports learning, play and development.
  • Develop and maintain effective team building and staff management systems.
  • Support business development initiatives with the Senior Leadership Team and Admissions Department.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant training and experience working with babies and young children.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, supportive and inclusive environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in early years education or nursery management.
  • Knowledge of child development and inclusive practices.
  • Experience with quality improvement and educational standards.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support a busy, multi-faceted role.
