Summary:

Pastoral and Behaviour Lead required to champion pupil wellbeing and positive behaviour at a school.

The Opportunity:

As a Pastoral and Behaviour Lead, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that promotes positive behaviour and emotional resilience among pupils. This position is ideal for someone passionate about improving student outcomes through effective behaviour support and pastoral care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead on Positive Behaviour Support and inclusive communication strategies across the school.
  • Create a safe and supportive environment where pupils can thrive and feel valued.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families to promote emotional resilience and positive outcomes.
  • Develop and implement positive behaviour strategies that support learning and personal growth.
  • Coach and guide staff on effective behaviour management and intervention techniques.
  • Deliver targeted pastoral and behaviour support tailored to individual pupil needs.
  • Collaborate with families and external agencies to provide holistic support for pupils.
  • Oversee behaviour tracking systems and analyse trends to inform and improve strategy.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in SEN settings and behaviour management.
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Ability to mentor staff and lead training sessions.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, mental health, and trauma-informed care.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
  • Team Teach qualification.

Preferred

  • Experience with systems like CPOMs, Arbor, and Smartlog.
  • Experience in developing and implementing behaviour support strategies.
