The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate physical education lessons that align with the Finnish Curriculum and IB PYP
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment that encourages fitness, motor skills, and social development
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the holistic growth of students across academic, social, and emotional domains
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience
• Develop and implement inclusive lesson plans that reflect best practices in child development and physical education
• Promote values such as respect, cooperation, fairness, and sportsmanship through all activities
• Participate in professional development and school events to contribute to the school’s mission and culture

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in physical education at the elementary/primary level
• Strong knowledge of child development principles related to physical activity
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to design inclusive, age-appropriate lesson plans

Preferred

• Experience working with the IB PYP curriculum
• Passion for promoting health, wellness, and active lifestyles among young learners
• Experience in an international school setting
