The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated PE Teacher (Maternity Cover) to join our dynamic team and contribute to the development of students' physical and personal well-being. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced teachers or ECTs to make a meaningful impact in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physical Education up to and including GCSE and A Level.
  • Inspire students to achieve outstanding results in PE and promote a lifelong love of sport.
  • Deliver high-quality lessons that incorporate the use of ICT for teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the development of the PE department through innovative teaching and initiative.
  • Support students in achieving success at school, club, county, and national levels.
  • Encourage and lead pupils in extra-curricular sporting activities and events.
  • Promote pupil wellbeing and fitness through a holistic approach to PE.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the overall school experience.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant teaching qualification and experience in Girls’ Physical Education.
  • Evidence of pupil success and a track record of delivering outstanding results.
  • A passion for inspiring students and developing their sporting abilities.
  • Experience in using ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Commitment to extra-curricular involvement and student leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and take initiative in departmental development.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching at both GCSE and A Level.
  • Experience in leading or coaching at school, club, or county level.
  • Knowledge of sports leadership and competition organization.
  • Experience with the Duke of Edinburgh Award or similar programs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
