The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate Physics and Engineering Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and support student achievement across Key Stages 3 to 5. This role offers the chance to shape a dynamic curriculum and contribute to a supportive, values-driven environment that prioritises student growth and academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Physics and Engineering to GCSE, A Level and BTEC students to the highest standard.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of the Science department’s curriculum.
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve outstanding academic outcomes.
  • Promote STEM pathways, including engineering and physical sciences.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of laboratory environments.
  • Participate in enrichment activities such as clubs, trips, and competitions.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Encourage curiosity, analytical thinking and problem-solving through practical and engaging lessons.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Physics and Engineering education.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
  • Strong understanding of GCSE, A Level and BTEC curricula.
  • Commitment to student development and academic success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching Pearson Edexcel BTEC Engineering.
  • Ability to connect Physics concepts to real-world engineering applications.
  • Involvement in co-curricular and enrichment activities.
  • Experience in curriculum development and departmental leadership.
