The Opportunity:
We are seeking a passionate Physics and Engineering Teacher to deliver engaging lessons and support student achievement across Key Stages 3 to 5. Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Physics and Engineering to GCSE, A Level and BTEC students to the highest standard.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the Science department’s curriculum.
- Support students of all abilities to achieve outstanding academic outcomes.
- Promote STEM pathways, including engineering and physical sciences.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of laboratory environments.
- Participate in enrichment activities such as clubs, trips, and competitions.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
- Encourage curiosity, analytical thinking and problem-solving through practical and engaging lessons.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Physics and Engineering education.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality lessons to students across Key Stages 3 to 5.
- Strong understanding of GCSE, A Level and BTEC curricula.
- Commitment to student development and academic success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience teaching Pearson Edexcel BTEC Engineering.
- Ability to connect Physics concepts to real-world engineering applications.
- Involvement in co-curricular and enrichment activities.
- Experience in curriculum development and departmental leadership.
