As a Primary School Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a high-quality, outdoor-focused education to young learners. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a balanced EYFS curriculum through child-initiated play, adult-led learning, and continuous provision.
  • Develop an enabling environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and creativity.
  • Observe children regularly and use these observations to inform planning, assessment, and next steps in learning.
  • Support the development of early communication, language, literacy, and personal, social, and emotional skills.
  • Create cross-curricular projects inspired by children’s interests and real-world connections.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on children's learning and development in line with EYFS requirements.
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils.
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils through high expectations and meaningful experiences.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage, particularly with 4-5 year olds.
  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework and child development from ages 4–5.
  • Experience of learning through play, continuous provision, and outdoor learning.
  • Experience working with 4 to 11 year olds in a primary school setting.

Preferred

  • Forest School Level 2/3 qualification.
  • Experience within an outdoor education environment.
