The Opportunity:
As an HR Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the school’s HR processes, ensuring smooth recruitment, compliance, and staff onboarding. This is a dynamic and impactful position that contributes directly to the school’s success and the well-being of its staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate recruitment processes, including interviews and pre-employment checks.
- Maintain accurate staff records and the Single Central Record.
- Prepare and administer staff contracts and training records.
- Support onboarding and ensure new colleagues receive a professional and welcoming start.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding and HR policies.
- Assist with staff training and development initiatives.
- Manage HR administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Collaborate with the HR Director and wider HR team to deliver a seamless service.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Strong HR administrative experience in a school or education setting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
- Confidence in working with colleagues at all levels.
Preferred
- Experience with safer recruitment and compliance checks.
- Familiarity with HR systems and software.
- Experience in staff training and development.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policies.
