The Opportunity:

As a Progression Coach, you will play a vital role in helping young people gain meaningful work experiences and achieve positive employment outcomes. This role is essential in bridging the gap between education and employment, offering support through internships, apprenticeships, and job fairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support young people in securing employment and training opportunities.
  • Identify and address barriers that prevent students from entering the workforce.
  • Coordinate with employers and training providers to create tailored career pathways.
  • Deliver engaging workshops and one-to-one support to learners.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of progression initiatives on student outcomes.
  • Attend and support job fairs, internships, and apprenticeship events.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on learner progress and engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a cohesive approach to learner support and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in youth engagement or career progression support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of employment pathways, including apprenticeships and internships.
  • Ability to develop and deliver training and support programs.
  • Experience working with young people and understanding their challenges.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or training sector.
  • Understanding of the local labor market and employer needs.
  • Experience with career guidance or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with progression and employability frameworks.
