Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Food and Design Technology across all Key Stages.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progression.
- Support students in developing practical skills and knowledge in Food and Design Technology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practice and student outcomes.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
- Engage with students to encourage enthusiasm and motivation in learning.
- Work closely with other staff to support the school’s vision and values.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Food and Design Technology.
- Experience in teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Food and Design Technology at Key Stage 5.
- Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
- Experience in delivering CPD or mentoring other staff members.
- Experience with inclusive teaching and supporting disadvantaged learners.
