Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Food and Design Technology across all Key Stages.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that promote student achievement and progression.
  • Support students in developing practical skills and knowledge in Food and Design Technology.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practice and student outcomes.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the continuous improvement of the school.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
  • Engage with students to encourage enthusiasm and motivation in learning.
  • Work closely with other staff to support the school’s vision and values.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Food and Design Technology.
  • Experience in teaching at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their potential.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Food and Design Technology at Key Stage 5.
  • Experience with curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.
  • Experience in delivering CPD or mentoring other staff members.
  • Experience with inclusive teaching and supporting disadvantaged learners.
