The Opportunity:
As a PYP PE Teacher and Sports Coordinator, you will teach physical education to students aged 3 to 12 and coordinate interschool sports programs. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student wellbeing and school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach PYP Physical Education to students aged 3 to 12 with enthusiasm and dedication.
- Coordinate interschool sports events, competitions, and associated coaching sessions.
- Develop and implement physical education programs that promote student engagement and wellbeing.
- Build positive relationships with students, staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
- Support the school’s mission by promoting intercultural understanding and inclusion.
- Ensure the safe and effective delivery of all sports and physical education activities.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall student experience.
- Manage and organize sports equipment, facilities, and schedules.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in PYP Physical Education.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and stakeholders.
- Commitment to promoting intercultural understanding and inclusion.
- Experience in coordinating sports and physical education programs.
Preferred
- Experience with the IB Primary Years Programme.
- Knowledge of Swiss or international sports regulations and practices.
- Experience with coaching and leading sports teams.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
