The Opportunity:

As an Upper School Principal, you will lead and inspire a team of educators, driving academic and personal growth for students. This role is central to shaping a supportive and innovative learning environment aligned with the school’s mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Upper School, ensuring alignment with the school’s mission and educational goals.
  • Collaborate with the Pedagogical Leadership Team to develop and implement effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered culture that promotes belonging and well-being.
  • Support and mentor staff, providing professional development opportunities and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the Pastoral Team to ensure the holistic development of students.
  • Promote and maintain the school’s international and local academic programs, including the IB and Lehrplan 21 curricula.
  • Engage with students, parents, and the wider community to build strong relationships and enhance the school’s reputation.
  • Ensure the effective use of resources and facilities to support student learning and achievement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an international school setting, preferably in a similar role.
  • Strong background in education, with a focus on upper secondary school leadership.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Deep understanding of international curricula, including the IB and other globally recognized programs.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a large, diverse student body and managing a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiarity with Swiss educational standards and curriculum frameworks.
  • Experience with school improvement initiatives and strategic planning.
  • Strong knowledge of leadership in a multicultural environment.
