Summary:

Reprographics Manager needed to support teaching and resource management at a school.

The Opportunity:

As a Reprographics Manager, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning by managing cover for absent staff and overseeing reprographics services. This is a vital position that ensures the smooth operation of administrative and resource management functions across the school.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and allocate daily cover for absent staff and ensure appropriate cover work is provided.
  • Line manage Cover Supervisors and casual supply teachers.
  • Support Cover Supervisors with training and undertake the annual appraisal process.
  • Supervise pre-prepared tasks in classes where the normal teacher is absent, ensuring appropriate pupil behavior.
  • Manage a range of administrative tasks, including covering tutors and invigilating in exams.
  • Operate and maintain printing equipment, including photocopiers, binding, and laminating machines.
  • Produce a wide variety of printed and copied documents to meet the needs of the school.
  • Ensure value for money when ordering products and materials and develop efficient ordering systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in managing cover for teaching staff and students.
  • Ability to supervise and manage a team of Cover Supervisors and casual staff.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with operating and maintaining printing and reprographics equipment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in education or a related field.
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing and other reprographics software.
  • Experience in cost management and reporting to finance departments.
  • Experience in developing and implementing efficient systems for resource management.
  • Experience in teaching or supporting student learning.
