The Opportunity:

As a School Cleaner, you will ensure that all areas of the school are maintained to the highest standards, creating a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for students to learn and thrive in.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain all areas of the school including classrooms, offices, kitchens, showers, halls, corridors, and toilets.
• Vacuum floors, mop hard surfaces, and perform spot cleaning as required.
• Wipe and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
• Empty and clean bins on a daily basis, ensuring waste is disposed of correctly.
• Replenish janitorial supplies in all areas of the school.
• Ensure windows are closed, lights are switched off, and the building is secure at the end of each day.
• Follow health and safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals safely.
• Perform any other duties as required by the school.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Understanding of health and safety principles.
• Willingness to undergo training in the safe use of cleaning chemicals.

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school or special needs environment.
• First Aid Certificate.
• Experience with COSHH regulations.
