Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook school meals in line with nutritional standards and recipes.
- Assist with food service, presentation, and the cleaning of kitchen and dining areas.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, health, and safety in all aspects of food preparation and handling.
- Adjust recipes and portion sizes to accommodate changes in meal demand.
- Support training and development by attending required courses and meetings.
- Ensure the efficient operation of the kitchen and dining areas during service times.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in a catering environment.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain food quality and presentation standards.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and hygienic working environment.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in a school or educational setting.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts and duties as required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience in a busy catering environment or similar setting.
