School Librarian and Publications Editor needed for a dynamic and supportive school environment.

The Opportunity:

A School Librarian and Publications Editor is sought to manage the Senior School Library and oversee the production of key publications, including the termly Focus magazine and the annual The Churcherian. This role plays a vital part in supporting students and staff through resources, editorial work, and academic support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and operate the College Library facility efficiently
  • Supervise and assist pupils within the library environment
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to maintain strong partnerships and support curriculum needs
  • Provide editorial oversight and production responsibility for Focus magazine and The Churcherian
  • Support students in the research, writing, and presentation of their EPQs

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong written English with excellent grammar, spelling, and a clear, concise style
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience working with children or young people

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a school environment
  • Experience with library systems
  • Editing and proofreading skills with a high level of accuracy
  • Knowledge of current research and referencing techniques
