The Opportunity:

As a School Librarian, you will play a key role in managing the Senior School Library and supporting the organisation of school events. This is an exciting opportunity to foster a love of reading and learning among students, while contributing to the success of the school’s community events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and operate the College Library facility efficiently
• Supervise and assist pupils within the library
• Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum-related activities
• Support the organisation of school events, including ticketing, parent liaison, catering, and prize coordination
• Maintain an effective partnership with academic departments
• Ensure a welcoming and well-organised library environment
• Promote a culture of reading and learning among students
• Liaise with external partners and stakeholders as needed

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• A passion for books and reading with the ability to inspire students
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Experience working with children or young people
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred

• Previous experience in a school or library setting
• Experience with library management systems
• Experience in event organisation
• Knowledge of current research and referencing techniques
