Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science lessons that engage students and promote deep learning.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support student progress and achievement.
- Monitor and assess student performance regularly, providing constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous improvement in Science education.
- Participate in the school’s Professional Development programme to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
- Support students in preparing for GCSE and A-Level examinations through targeted instruction and revision sessions.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote Science education and student success.
- Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular activities related to Science.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant teaching qualification.
- Proven experience in Science teaching, ideally at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
Preferred
- Specialism in Chemistry.
- Experience in achieving high student outcomes in Science.
- Familiarity with the national curriculum of England and Wales.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
