Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality computing lessons that align with the National Curriculum and IB Diploma requirements.
  • Support students in developing essential digital skills and preparing for exams.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the computing curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in the pastoral and extra-curricular life of the school.
  • Provide individualized support to students, including those with special educational needs.
  • Stay up to date with developments in computing education and technology.
  • Contribute to the professional development of the teaching team.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A teaching degree or post-graduate diploma (B.Ed, M.Ed, PGCE or equivalent).
  • Experience in teaching computing or related subjects at the secondary level.
  • Familiarity with the British education system and the National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience with the IB Diploma or IB Careers Programme.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and digital technologies.
  • Experience working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Ability to support students with special educational needs (SEN).
