The Opportunity:

As a Secondary English Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic and personal growth of students. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality English education across all levels of the Secondary School, from Middle School to Upper School, including IGCSE and IB Diploma courses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and challenging lessons across the full range of the Secondary School curriculum.
  • Monitor and support student progress, maintaining regular communication with parents.
  • Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning across the department.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of extra-curricular and pastoral activities.
  • Prepare and assess student work in line with the National Curriculum and IB Diploma requirements.
  • Support students in achieving their academic and personal goals.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the British education system and curriculum standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A valid teaching qualification such as B.Ed., M.Ed., or Lehramt.
  • Experience teaching English in a Secondary School setting.
  • Familiarity with the British education system and the National Curriculum.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching the IB Diploma.
  • Experience with teaching English as a first language.
  • Experience working in an international school environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
