The Opportunity:

As a Senior IT Technician and Data Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and the accurate management of academic and operational data. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a school that values innovation, leadership, and the use of technology to enhance learning and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the school’s IT infrastructure and systems.
  • Oversee the integrity, security, and accessibility of academic and operational data.
  • Provide technical support to staff and students across all departments.
  • Develop and implement data reporting processes to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the Operations and Academic teams to ensure seamless integration of IT and data management.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and information security policies.
  • Support the transition and handover process ahead of the substantive postholder’s maternity leave.
  • Stay up to date with emerging IT trends and recommend improvements to current systems.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in IT support and data management within an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of data integrity, management, and reporting practices.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with network systems, hardware, and software solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality service to both staff and students.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Knowledge of data protection legislation and best practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based IT systems and data management tools.
  • Leadership experience within an IT or data management role.
