The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and innovative STEM Teacher - Middle School to inspire students through engaging and interdisciplinary learning experiences. This role is ideal for an educator who is dedicated to fostering creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking in a British-curriculum setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality STEM/STEAM lessons aligned with the UK National Curriculum for Middle School students.
  • Develop students’ analytical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through interdisciplinary learning experiences.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, innovation, and academic challenge.
  • Integrate practical experiments, design thinking, digital technologies, coding, robotics, engineering tasks, and creative projects into learning experiences.
  • Assess, monitor, and record student achievement, providing timely and constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in line with school policies and safeguarding expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding academic progress, behaviour, and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, moderation, and whole-school initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field with recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • A minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience, preferably within an international British-curriculum context.
  • Strong knowledge of STEM/STEAM education principles and the UK National Curriculum for Middle School learners.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver engaging, project-based, and inquiry-driven lessons that foster innovation, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Experience integrating technology, engineering design, coding, robotics, digital tools, or creative arts into classroom learning.
  • Skilled in positive classroom management that promotes respect, responsibility, and a culture of learning.
  • Experience using formative and summative assessment to monitor and support student progress and achievement.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, leadership, students, and families.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Experience with international curriculum delivery or cross-cultural teaching environments.
  • Familiarity with digital learning platforms and online teaching tools.
