The Opportunity:

Join a passionate team of educators delivering high-quality, personalised learning experiences for students with SEMH needs and associated learning difficulties. As a Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping individualised learning pathways and fostering emotional growth, independence and academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons (including GCSE in a core subject) for individuals and small groups
  • Create and review Individual Education Plans, Behaviour Plans and tailored learning programmes
  • Support nurture-based approaches to help students develop emotional regulation and self-control
  • Monitor, record and report on student progress, ensuring high-quality assessment and subject development
  • Collaborate with LSAs, tutors, care staff and the wider multi-professional team
  • Ensure a safe, stimulating and well-organised learning environment both on and off site

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification
  • Ability to teach one of the core subjects at GCSE level
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, student-centred approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A driving licence

Preferred

  • Experience with students with SEMH needs and associated learning difficulties
  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language
  • Experience with autism, ADHD, attachment disorders or oppositional defiance disorder
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
