Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach A Level Psychology to a range of students, ensuring engaging and effective delivery of the curriculum.
  • Develop and deliver schemes of work that align with the school’s high standards and the needs of students.
  • Support students through individual and group pastoral care, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Contribute to the wider department and school by participating in meetings, planning, and extra-curricular activities.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Prepare and mark assessments in line with the school’s expectations and the requirements of the curriculum.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Psychology at A Level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and the ability to deliver it effectively at a high academic standard.
  • Experience in working within a school environment and a commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in developing and leading extracurricular activities related to Psychology.
  • Experience with teaching students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with the latest developments in Psychology education and research.
  • Experience in using digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
