Key Responsibilities:
- Teach A Level Psychology to a range of students, ensuring engaging and effective delivery of the curriculum.
- Develop and deliver schemes of work that align with the school’s high standards and the needs of students.
- Support students through individual and group pastoral care, promoting their academic and personal development.
- Contribute to the wider department and school by participating in meetings, planning, and extra-curricular activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
- Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Prepare and mark assessments in line with the school’s expectations and the requirements of the curriculum.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in teaching Psychology at A Level.
- Strong subject knowledge in Psychology and the ability to deliver it effectively at a high academic standard.
- Experience in working within a school environment and a commitment to student achievement and pastoral care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in developing and leading extracurricular activities related to Psychology.
- Experience with teaching students from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with the latest developments in Psychology education and research.
- Experience in using digital tools and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
