Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons to students of all abilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance departmental practices and student outcomes.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Support the development of students’ scientific knowledge and skills.
- Stay up to date with key educational policies and incorporate them into teaching.
- Encourage high achievement and personal development in students from diverse backgrounds.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Work flexibly with a team to support the school’s vision and mission.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree or equivalent experience with a teaching qualification.
- Proven ability to teach Science to students aged 11-18 with excellent classroom management skills.
- Strong personal organisation and time management abilities.
- A clear understanding of national and educational policies and issues.
- Commitment to improving student achievement and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching Science to a range of abilities.
- Experience with continuous professional development and leadership in education.
- Experience with teaching English as a second language.
