The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a growing and ambitious department, offering excellent professional development and the chance to shape the future of Maths education in Essex.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Maths lessons to students across all key stages
  • Assess, record and report on students’ progress with effective feedback to support learning
  • Contribute to the development of the Maths department through best practice and departmental initiatives
  • Participate in staff training and school-wide CPD opportunities
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Headteacher for Maths and Lead Practitioner to drive teaching excellence
  • Create a positive, supportive classroom environment with high expectations for all students
  • Support the ethos, values and policies of the school
  • Take on additional responsibilities for experienced candidates, contributing to the growth of the Maths team

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree or equivalent experience with a teaching qualification
  • Proven ability to teach outstanding lessons across the 11-18 range with strong classroom management skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills
  • A clear understanding of key national and educational policies
  • A commitment to inspiring high achievement in students from all backgrounds
  • A dedication to continuous professional development

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching Maths at key stages 3 and 4
  • Leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting
  • Experience with teaching and learning excellence initiatives
  • Experience in supporting student progress and achievement
