The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Principal and SLT in delivering high-quality leadership and management.
  • Ensure the school runs efficiently and effectively, meeting all statutory and academic requirements.
  • Oversee key areas of school operations, including pastoral care, curriculum development, and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to implement strategic goals and drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote a positive school culture and support staff development and well-being.
  • Manage and lead key projects that contribute to the school’s long-term success.
  • Represent the school in external meetings and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of initiatives to ensure they align with the school’s vision and objectives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a school or educational setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of educational policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead change effectively.

Preferred

  • Experience in a large, high-performing school or multi-academy trust.
  • Experience in curriculum development and school improvement planning.
  • Familiarity with Ofsted and other regulatory requirements.
  • Strong track record in improving student outcomes and staff performance.
  • Experience in leading and managing large teams.
