The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Visiting Music Teacher (Harp) to provide high-quality instruction and support to students during maternity cover. This role is ideal for a dedicated and passionate music educator who wants to contribute to the school's vibrant musical community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual music lessons tailored to the needs of students.
  • Plan and produce a weekly timetable and ensure it is effectively communicated.
  • Record and report on student progress, attainment, and development.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Prepare students for ABRSM music examinations and support their development.
  • Contribute to the school’s musical life through ensemble coaching, workshops, and enrichment activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified music teacher with experience in teaching harp.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging music lessons.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Experience in preparing students for ABRSM examinations.
  • Commitment to supporting student progress and well-being.

Preferred

  • Experience in working within a school environment.
  • Familiarity with school timetabling and administration processes.
  • Experience in ensemble coaching or leading musical workshops.
