The Opportunity:

A Visiting Music Teacher - Singing is required to deliver high-quality individual singing lessons to students of all ages and abilities. This role provides the chance to inspire young musicians and contribute to a vibrant music department that values performance and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual singing lessons to students aged 2 to 13, tailored to their ability and needs.
  • Foster a positive, engaging learning environment that encourages confidence and musical growth.
  • Prepare students for music exams, performances, and concerts, both in-person and digital.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents and colleagues to support student progress.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Ensure all teaching activities align with the school’s values and policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience teaching music and singing.
  • Strong performance and teaching abilities with students of all ages.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in IT for lesson planning and reporting.
  • Ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.

Preferred

  • Piano skills for accompaniment during lessons and performances.
  • Experience in a school setting or with music ensembles.
  • Ongoing professional development in music education.
