Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and ambitious A Level Law lessons that place learners at the centre of the learning process.
  • Provide pastoral support and guidance to students through a personal tutoring role.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the continued success of the department.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies that support outstanding progress and aspirational goals.
  • Utilise strong links with local law firms and the University of Exeter to enhance the learner experience.
  • Participate in professional development and training opportunities to further your skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate records and assessments to monitor student progress and achievement.
  • Support the school’s values of ambition, collaboration, and energy in all aspects of teaching and learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A strong interest in law and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • A can-do attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to provide pastoral support and guidance to students.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or working with young people.
  • A teaching qualification or experience in teacher training programmes.
  • Knowledge of legal studies or related subjects.
  • Experience in A Level teaching or curriculum development.
