The Opportunity:

As an Athletic Development Teaching Assistant, you will support the delivery of athletic development across a range of sports and age groups. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a thriving sports programme, contributing to the physical and personal development of students in a progressive and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and deliver strength and conditioning sessions across a range of school sports
  • Assist with long-term athletic development programmes for pupils aged 8 to 18
  • Support movement competency, speed, agility and injury prevention work
  • Coach within one or more major sports across the Prep and Upper School
  • Assist with PE lessons, Games afternoons, training sessions and fixtures
  • Support pupils’ wider development and wellbeing
  • Contribute to the co-curricular and boarding life of the school, including evening boarding duties
  • Support sports events, tours and competitions, including weekend commitments

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Sport Science, Strength & Conditioning, Physical Education or a related field
  • Experience coaching or supporting young athletes
  • A strong interest in youth athletic development and school sport
  • Ability to communicate confidently and work well within a team
  • Organised, proactive and enthusiastic approach to work

Preferred

  • UKSCA/ASCC accreditation
  • Coaching qualifications
  • First Aid qualifications
