Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality tuition in English, maths, or science to small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
- Support students in preparing for GCSE exams and achieving their academic goals.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Collaborate with other tutors and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Uphold strict safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with special educational needs and emotional and behavioural challenges.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant undergraduate degree or higher.
- Previous experience working with children, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
- Strong knowledge of the UK education system and the national curriculum.
- Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills.
- Ability to build rapport with students and work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection practices.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching or tutoring at the GCSE level.
- Familiarity with exam preparation techniques and strategies.
- Experience with online or blended learning environments.
