Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality tuition in English, maths, or science to small groups or on a one-to-one basis.
  • Support students in preparing for GCSE exams and achieving their academic goals.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Collaborate with other tutors and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Uphold strict safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive and productive learning experience.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with special educational needs and emotional and behavioural challenges.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A relevant undergraduate degree or higher.
  • Previous experience working with children, including those with special educational needs (SEN) and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of the UK education system and the national curriculum.
  • Excellent organisational and time-keeping skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching or tutoring at the GCSE level.
  • Familiarity with exam preparation techniques and strategies.
  • Experience with online or blended learning environments.
