Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective English language instruction to students of varying abilities.
  • Support the development of students' language skills through a variety of teaching methods and resources.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain and enhance the school's academic standards and curriculum.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a positive learning environment.

  • Stay up to date with developments in teaching methodologies and curriculum design.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Minimum two years’ teaching experience in teaching English to ESL students.
  • High level of English proficiency.
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with children, colleagues, parents, and other professionals.
  • A clean police check and no issues regarding suitability to work with children.
  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language.

Preferred

  • Experience of overseas teaching or teaching international pupils.
  • Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
  • Familiarity with the UK National Curriculum.
  • Chinese teaching license.
