Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality Science and Biology lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
• Support the department's continued success in achieving strong student outcomes.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of extra-curricular activities in Biology.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
• Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development opportunities.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.
• Stay current with developments in the subject and incorporate them into teaching.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

• Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Biology.
• Experience in teaching Science and Biology at key stages 3 to 5.
• Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and take on additional responsibilities.

Preferred

• Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
• Experience with curriculum development or assessment design.
• Experience with extra-curricular activities or student mentoring.
• Familiarity with the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
