Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Science and Biology lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Support the department's continued success in achieving strong student outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of extra-curricular activities in Biology.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning practices.
- Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and professional development opportunities.
- Provide pastoral support and guidance to students where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attainment.
- Stay current with developments in the subject and incorporate them into teaching.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Biology.
- Experience in teaching Science and Biology at key stages 3 to 5.
- Commitment to student success and a passion for teaching and learning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and take on additional responsibilities.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Experience with curriculum development or assessment design.
- Experience with extra-curricular activities or student mentoring.
- Familiarity with the latest teaching methodologies and technologies.
