The Opportunity:

We are seeking a Food Technology Technician to support the Food Department in enhancing student progress and achievement. This role is ideal for someone passionate about education and committed to helping students reach their full potential in Food and Nutrition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Food Department in delivering high-quality Food and Nutrition lessons.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of equipment and resources for practical lessons.
  • Provide guidance and support to students to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers to ensure the curriculum is effectively delivered.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Food Technology program.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are maintained in all practical activities.
  • Support the school’s vision of raising standards of achievement and behaviour.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A good standard of Education (Level 3).
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills (GCSE English and Maths or equivalent).
  • Experience of working with secondary school students.

Preferred

  • Experience in a Food Technology or related subject area.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team.
