The Opportunity:

A school is seeking an experienced and passionate Biology Teacher to deliver high-quality education to students aged 3–18. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and development within a dynamic, collaborative school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver the IGCSE and A Level Biology Curriculum effectively and engagingly.
  • Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a range of student abilities and learning styles.
  • Monitor student progress and provide accurate feedback to support continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and stimulating learning experience for all students.
  • Lead a tutor group and deliver the PSHE curriculum, promoting student well-being and personal development.
  • Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and staff to support student success.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities to enhance the overall school experience.
  • Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Biology or a related subject and a teaching qualification, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Science and Biology.
  • Proven experience teaching GCSE and A Level (or equivalent) Biology successfully.
  • Strong understanding of assessment strategies and student progress tracking.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering engaging and relevant lessons that inspire a love of learning.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Experience in promoting student well-being and personal development.

Preferred

  • Experience in the role of Form Tutor or Head of Year.
  • Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and international education standards.
  • Experience working in a multicultural and international school setting.
