The Opportunity:
A school is seeking an experienced and passionate Biology Teacher to deliver high-quality education to students aged 3–18. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and development within a dynamic, collaborative school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver the IGCSE and A Level Biology Curriculum effectively and engagingly.
- Plan and prepare high-quality lessons that cater to a range of student abilities and learning styles.
- Monitor student progress and provide accurate feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and stimulating learning experience for all students.
- Lead a tutor group and deliver the PSHE curriculum, promoting student well-being and personal development.
- Maintain strong communication with students, parents, and staff to support student success.
- Participate in co-curricular activities to enhance the overall school experience.
- Uphold the school’s commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Biology or a related subject and a teaching qualification, or a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Secondary Education with a focus on Science and Biology.
- Proven experience teaching GCSE and A Level (or equivalent) Biology successfully.
- Strong understanding of assessment strategies and student progress tracking.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to delivering engaging and relevant lessons that inspire a love of learning.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Experience in promoting student well-being and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in the role of Form Tutor or Head of Year.
- Familiarity with the English National Curriculum and international education standards.
- Experience working in a multicultural and international school setting.
