Deputy Head of Primary to lead and inspire the primary team at a dynamic international school.

As the Deputy Head of Primary, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of learning at a forward-thinking international school. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire the primary team to ensure the best learning outcomes for all students.
  • Work in partnership with the primary principal to ensure the effective running of the day-to-day operations across the elementary school.
  • Set and lead the strategic direction of the primary school alongside the Primary Principal.
  • Ensure the school maintains the highest possible standards of learning, teaching, and behaviour aligned with the IB PYP curriculum.
  • Monitor academic standards across the elementary school and promote an inclusive ethos and high-performance culture.
  • Develop and ensure performance evaluation of staff to promote individual and school growth through mentoring, coaching, and professional development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status with a minimum of five years teaching experience.
  • Qualified to University Degree level or above.
  • Previous middle/senior leadership experience in UK or international school setting.
  • Knowledge and experience of PYP curriculum or similar curriculum and inquiry-based approaches.
  • Strong track record of continued professional development.
  • Evidence of being an active collaborator who seeks to work with colleagues across subject boundaries.
  • Current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure or equivalent for countries lived in outside of the UK within the last 10 years.
  • Compliance with visa requirements for working in Italy.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Demonstrable evidence of innovating and adapting curricula to engage students.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Excellent cross-cultural, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the passion and drive to demonstrate and quantify success.
