The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Business & Economics Teacher to join its Secondary team by September 2026. This role is ideal for someone committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering student success in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Business & Economics lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum standards.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student progress.
  • Develop and implement engaging teaching strategies that enhance student learning and achievement.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and provide enrichment opportunities for students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a consistent and supportive school culture.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development through form tutoring and mentorship.
  • Utilize ICT tools effectively for instructional and record-keeping purposes.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • A proven track record of outstanding teaching
  • Minimum 3 years post-qualification teaching experience in a similar role and subject area
  • A teaching qualification that meets the requirements of your home country (B.Ed, PGCE, GDE etc)
  • Experience of working with highly aspirational and able students
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with both adults and children
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work efficiently
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety and Safeguarding/Child Protection procedures

Preferred

  • Experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy DSL
  • Experience of modeled creative acting styles and techniques encompassing varied history genres and performance techniques
  • Ability to act as a secondary form tutor and offer enrichment and extracurricular activities
